Re:...the appointment of Gary Daichendt as Nortel's president and COO makes a lot of sense given he's an operations expert - i.e. he's going to find ways to reduce costs even further through exercises such as improved logistics Nortel's shed its manufacturing business, so there are very few boxes still manufactured by Nortel to ship around. Any logistics improvements would have to address some other aspect, because simply moving boxes around faster and cheaper won't do if the boxes are made, and shipped by others
