Re: Do You Have a Backup Plan?
by Anonymous
Hi, Mark, I’ve been using IBackup for Windows for regular backups of my files and folders. With IBackup for Windows you can perform interactive and automatic backups with compression and encryption during transmission, incremental/full backups, synchronization, advanced logging and reporting. You can also backup open files with this application. IBackup supports backups for UNIX and Linux-based computers using rsync. IBackup accounts are compatible with most FTP clients on most platforms providing a powerful flexible tool to transfer files. Using IDrive you can map your online account as a local drive on your computer and work on the documents or data as if they are on your PC. With IDrive there is directory and file caching for faster read access and file transfer resumes on temporary disconnections. You can backup your music or video files in your account and use ‘IDrive Multimedia’ to create playlists or fast forward songs. With Web-Manager, a browser-based application, easily share files by creating sharable links and emailing them to your buddies and partners. Web-Manager is a browser-based application that lets you create folders, webload files, rename, move, delete and share files or folders with others for collaborative access. Lock files and folders as a real time notification to collaborators to let them know that the file is currently reserved for modification. You can also use the ‘Media Gallery’ in Web-Manager to manage all your photos, audio and video files. The `Private Share’ feature allows an IBackup account holder to instantly share portions of the account with another IBackup user. You can also check IBackup Professional, which provides a secure, efficient, reliable, cost effective and easy to use Internet based backup solution with additional emphasis on security and data retention. In this the encryption is based on a user-defined key so that the data stored on IBackup Professional servers cannot be decrypted by anybody other than you. Up to 30 prior versions, including the most recent version of the data files, can be restored. You can restore any version of file from among the versions saved.
