The more the online population looks like the online population, the more their societies will resemble each other in their bringing out all of humanity's glory and foibles. The trite part about the article is that this is not a new story and it's not told in a new way. A better approach may have been to show how closely our societal maps are converging, both good and bad, and how, for the most part, both seem to be civil. - phil wolff
