I haven't read this article either. I just saw the headline in the airport and was confused. Thanks for the write up Mark and for allowing Steve to counter point. I hope the article makes a distinction between the "Web" and the Internet, something you both use interchangeably above. It can be argued that the Web is full of porn, and poorly written blogs. But the Internet and its associated technology (high speed routers, IP switches etc etc) really has changed the world and gone beyond what was hoped for. Thanks to the Internet we have email but the same technology has been used to make international banking easier, and bring down the cost of long distance calls. Don't confuse the web with the Internet. Its a separate discussion. siobhan
