Google Talk may have a brighter future than it at first appears, due to it's use of the XMPP (Jabber) protocol, which is quickly becoming popular in emerging telephony applications. This means that Google Talk could be used by corporate road warriors to easily stay in touch with the main office. Additionally, organizations can offer their customers a way to use a chat client to connect into the PBX environment.
