george, it depends on how feature-rich you want your blog and how much control you want over it. for example, if you just want to have a simple blog, wordpress.com is a nice solution (superior, i would argue to blogger). for more features, you need to look at wordpress.org (you can either host it yourself or have a hosting company such siteground do it for you) or use something such as typepad or blogware, which you'll have to pay a monthly fee to use. cheers, mark
