Mark Cuban's blog has an interesting read on a similar subject - the diversity and depth of articles in a newspaper (in this case sports articles) is something that the Internet hasn't been able to do I don' t think. Even looking at most articles aggregated by Google News, you'll see the same article with the same quotes with slightly different words - more or less a play on something Associated Press has released.
