I want to discuss about powerpoint issues you have here. I 100% agree that powerpoint has not provide good wizard or template to make a good presentation. But for now powerpoint's users is the most of presentation's software. What the speakers should do is design themselves so their slides will not be boring, and maybe use some presentation themes you can find in the internet. Thanks for sharing.
