Mark, have you ever had any of the carriers speak to you about putting signal into subway tunnels? It seems to me that if they want folks to do more data-intensive stuff on a mobile phone, those folks will have to be (a) open to the technology and (b) well, be in a position to do it. That feels a lot like students on the subway, no? I look at it this way - if you are home, you will watch TV on your, uh, TV or maybe online. Otherwise, you would watch it when you are mobile, which rules out folks who are driving. So you are either walking or - best bet - standing / sitting while someone else is driving, and you have time to kill. Plus if you ever ride the subway in Hong Kong, say, all you see is folks SMSing like mad. It feels like the best target for this service is underground and, at this point therefore, off the grid. -- Stuart
