Re: Web 2.0 Webcasts?
by Estelle
The url http://web2con.socialtext.net/web2con2005/index.cgi is the "official official Web 2.0 Conference wiki, where attendees, sponsors, speakers and press will be posting their thoughts on the various sessions and workshops during the event". I was disappointed myself that the whole event was not webcast, you would think that the organizers of Web 2.0 would have followed the lead of Tony Perkins for the AlwaysOn conference that was held in California earlier this year in June, that event was fully webcast with real time blogging from all participants so that speakers at the event while doing their presentation were able to see live in real time the ongoing online discussion where some of the comments were directed towards the speakers and what they were actually presenting. Actually not webcasting the Web 2.0 event seems to be such a non Web 2.0 thing to do.
