Mark, What suprises me about this is that the CCTA and even the Telcos/Sattelite compaanies haven't got involved in this fight. It seems that the (somewhat whispered) argument by CHUM etc is that Canadians will have access to the technology through grey markets, so let them flourish as they will. Will they start enforcing the grey market laws like they do to Satellite TV. It seems to me that by opening the door on grey market satellite radio you open the door to argue that we should be able to order Direct TV from the U.S. Otherwise they are simply protecting us from a technology, one which many Canadians could use. I think the CCTA and ExpressVu folks should be up in arms with the government making sure this thing doesn't get overturned.
