Freshbooks Gets Some CNet Love

CNet has given Toronto-based Freshbooks some serious love today. Here's a bit of what reviewer Rafe Needleman had to say:

"Compared to the other invoicing services that I've covered -- which I like quite a lot -- FreshBooks strikes me as a bit more intelligent and more mature. Its user interface is not quite as bubbly as many other Web 2.0 services. It is, though, extremely clear and fast, despite offering users a lot of control and options."

Kudos to my friend and mesh co-conspirator, Michael McDerment, for putting together a cool Web 2.0 service and, as important, a Web 2.0 business that generates revenue. Now, if were an investor.....
Update: It would be remiss of me not to congratulate another friend, Om Malk, on the relaunch of GigaOm.com.

Congrats to McDerment et al and great point about the fact that Freshbooks generates nice revenues by providing a service that people are willing to pay for. I'll take cash over cool any time.
