You just knew it was ony a matter of time before the quintuple play was upstaged by the quadruple play within the telco/cable marketing wars. I could be wrong but it appears that Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. has the dubious honour of becoming the first company to latch onto the quintuple play. MTS CEO Pierre Blouin said the Winnipeg-based carrier can now offer local phone, wireless, high-speed Internet, television and security (over its high-speed network) services. Now, that's a bundle!

OK, so they trialed it in their lab, the technology is the easy part. Now can they sell it in a mass market, bill it, manage it, provision it, support it, account for it, market it and then make money from it?

That would be quintuple play then, not quadtuple.
